The 457 program has been in place for many years and was designed to answer shortages of skilled labour in various occupations in Australia. Major changes include a cut of over 200 occupations from the eligibility list (CSOL), a requirement that all applicants must have at least 2 years’ experience in their nominated occupation, and an applicants’ age limit cap of 45 years. We will bring you more news on this story as it develops over the next few days. Please see the related story “Australia 457 Visas: Removed Occupations”.
